annual pond cleaning - april 19, 2025
This year, the cleanup broom sweep, targeted to be completed by 11 am, started about 8 am was completed in record time ~9:30 am by ~30 club members. You may ask how many hours it takes to clean the pond..... it is not just 1 1/2 hours. Not including the planning, the actual operation started the day before with delivery of the pump (Don), overnight pump tending of suction of most of the water and debris (Doug and Jeff), and the the final removal steps of broom-sweep and washdown (led by Steve). And, don't forget the 12 hours or so of refilling with water while the rest of us are gone (Doug). Thanks to all the volunteers!!!
