Planning for RRFF Family Day at the Pond this summer

RRFF would like to extend a special invitation to families to spend a few fun hours at our casting pond learning about fly fishing.  There would be casting instruction, knot tying, fun with aquatic insects, a free lunch, and more.   

The intent is to make a day at the pond a fun time for the whole family.   Mom, dad, and grandparents with grandkids are welcome.

Learn to fly fish session

Two day session with kids ages 10-12. held at Casting Pond and Howarth Park (Lake Raphine).  Gregg Wrisley - leader, Steve Tubbs - casting, Penelope- knots, Mike Borba - tying flies, Karl Joost - aquatic creatures, helpers: Doug Mackay,  Ed Barich, Spencer Bader, Joe Hiney, Mike Spurlock.  Kids did well and parents were appreciative.
